KOLOA — The county Department of Public Works announced that DMK and Associates will be conducting roadwork in Koloa weekdays from Monday, Oct. 5 to Friday, Oct. 16, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather-permitting.
KOLOA — The county Department of Public Works announced that DMK and Associates will be conducting roadwork in Koloa weekdays from Monday, Oct. 5 to Friday, Oct. 16, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather-permitting.
Work will be scheduled on Ho‘olei Street, Maki Street, Ohuohu Street, Olona Street, Tapa Street, Mamaki Street, Pala‘a Place and Mamaki Place. The work includes asphalt crack cleaning and filling and seal coating.
From Oct. 5 to Oct. 12 there will be no road closures. There may be short delays in entering and exiting. No parking will be allowed on the road or road shoulders.
From Oct. 13 to Oct. 16, there will be road closures. No parking will be allowed on the road or road shoulders. No vehicle access will be allowed on the roadway or grassy shoulders, and no vehicle will be allowed to enter or exit until the seal coat is dry and lane reopened.
Make arrangements to accommodate the necessary road work. Any vehicle left on the street or grassy road shoulders within the work zones after 8 a.m. will be towed at the owner’s expense. Work may be extended pending weather conditions.

Maluhia Road to close
The DPW and Goodfellow Bros. LLC announced that Maluhia Road is scheduled to close from Monday, Oct. 5 to Friday, Oct. 9, during daylight hours, approximately from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., for paving work. Dates and times are subject to change depending on weather and other factors.
Trucks with three axles or more are prohibited from using ‘Oma‘o Road as a through road from Kaumuali‘i Highway to Koloa Road or from Koloa Road to Kaumuali‘i Highway.
Traffic delays may occur during this period.
