The Office of the Prosecuting Attorney, Life’s Choices Kaua‘i Program will be holding a two-day virtual training on prevention ethics in substance misuse on Sept. 28 and Sept. 29, from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

The training will cover the six principles in the Prevention Code of Ethics, key terminology and the decision-making process to use when faced with an ethical dilemma involving substance misuse.
This training is specifically for providers living in Kaua‘i County. Youth-serving organizations, school counselors and other educational personnel, youth after-school and other prevention-related programs, and others working in substance misuse prevention are encouraged to participate in this training.
This course is approved by the Department of Health, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division, for 6.0 hours to meet the Ethics in Prevention course requirement for the Certified Prevention Specialist credential.
