Some students may return to schools

Friday, the state Department of Education Kaua‘i Complex Area office announced it will revise island school distance-learning models for the second quarter of the current school year, from Oct. 12 to Dec. 18.

State flags at half-mast to honor Ginsburg

United States and state flags have been ordered to fly at half-staff at all state offices and agencies, including the Hawai‘i National Guard, to honor the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who died Friday at age 87.

RSVP wraps up care-package deliveries

The Kaua‘i Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, including its Advisory Council Chair Timmy Albao and membver Wilma Chandler, along with Grace Domingo Delos Reyes of the county Agency on Elderly Affairs and Kaua‘i RSVP director Donna Lynn Loo, wrapped up their 2020 Sept. 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance project Wednesday with the delivery of 80 care packages to front-line workers at the Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital.
