Happy birthday, Laurie Schwarze (she said Glenn Mickens’ widow is celebrating this month, too!) who will blow out 100 candles later this month! Laurie was getting a head start, Wednesday at the Pop Up Market with daughters Laurie Makaneole (she loves the Terry Gordines flowers!) and Connie Schwarze who just completed her 14-day quarantine after arriving from Spain for the big event.
Stacie Chiba Miguel is shocked and sad there is only until July 3 to enjoy Kalaheo Steak and Ribs, but happy that the Eating House 1849 by Roy Yamaguchi starts dine-in service starting Friday and Saturday from 4 to 7:30 p.m. (got the message, John Rivera!)…just in time for the long Fourth of July weekend.
Phil Worwa (Santa in Paradise is everywhere!) will be doing disc golf, Sunday at the Kukuiolono Park following the Father’s Day format of registration starting at 3 p.m. and golf from 4 p.m. He was at the special Skins game that celebrated the opening of the Ocean Course at Hokuala (what? Walking golf, Wednesdays?) and the Timbers Resort.
