Kudos to Randy Francisco (Kaua‘i Filipino Chamber of Commerce), the Zonta Club of Kaua‘i (Laycie Love was hurrying so she could go camping and trout fishing), the credit unions of Kaua‘i (rock star Myrvie Buster even squeezed in a Back to School Bash — it’s coming, July 18 — organizational meeting between packing and passing out food), and the East Kaua‘i Lions Club (kudos to Janice Bond, who was installed as the club’s new president following the distribution) and kudos to Kelvin Moniz and the Kaua‘i Independent Food Bank ‘ohana, and the resort’s Chuck Brady and his crew of hard-working associates.

Carrice Gardner (she was an invitee along with Isabel Gampon, the reigning Miss Hawai‘i Filipina) was moving fast in time to watch Gov. David Ige, remotely, on the Kaua‘i Chamber of Commerce annual governor’s luncheon (Edie Ignacio Neumiller said lunch was at Kenji Burger after the remote presentation), and Chantal Zarbaugh of the Kaua‘i Government Employees Federal Credit Union experienced back-to-back distributions. There are a lot more pats on the back for all those food-distribution efforts.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads on the island. Today might be a good day to enjoy one of those new seltzers.
