El Salvador loosens tightest pandemic restrictions in region

SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador — After nearly three months of mandatory stay-at-home orders to slow the spread of COVID-19 in El Salvador, the most locked down country in Latin America slowly began opening Tuesday.
