Broken cable causes internet outages

KAPAA – All services have been restored for customers in the northern part of Kaua‘i who experienced internet and phone outages throughout the day on Wednesday.

According to a Spectrum spokesperson, an “unaffiliated third party” cut the fiber lines and caused the outage.

The company received reports of the outage and sent out a team to fix the line at about 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning, by Thursday morning the cut lines in the Kealia were repaired.
