Tracking, tracing is the only way

There is no calvary on the way. Trump and the feds are NOT going to help. So we must do it ourselves.

Mayor Kawakami deserves all the credit in the world. To reopen our Virus-less Island we must test everyone coming onto our Island. Nothing else will suffice. Thus stations must be set up at the airport, every person must be tested. In addition, for a week to 14 days follow-up must occur for those who are here by permission.

Tracking and tracing must occur to insure our island’s safety.

Remember, we must do this ourselves until Jan. 20, 2021, then President Biden can take over and help will be forthcoming. But not before that date.

Richard Robinson, Koloa

As we start over, consider…

Starting over, let’s consider how to make life better than it was before COVID-19 with diversified industries, instant affordable housing, and ways for hotels, restaurants and businesses to recover as quickly as possible.

Depending primarily on tourism and real estate development has been short-sighted. Strikes, terrorism, pandemics, economic downturns are some of many things directly affecting Hawaii’s economy. Though tourist numbers increased through the decades, the overall economic impact and quality of life decreased.

With potential for self-sufficiency, create sustainable employment while enhancing Hawaii’s tourism industry and protecting the environment. Develop forestry and agriculture for food, textiles, energy, and all kinds of products for local use, exports, and souvenirs.

COVID-19 restrictions helped resolve traffic jams. Moving forward, reduce the number of rental cars proportionately to traffic impacts. Many tourist destinations around the world are car-less. Increasing shuttle transportation services and reliable public transit, people will adjust accordingly.

Using residences for vacation rentals is detrimental to the lodging industry. Return to the housing inventory condos and homes originally designated as residential. Though revenues may be less, long-term rental income is guaranteed. This increased housing helps stabilize the market.

Besides homes for residents, eliminating these short-term rentals will help increase occupancy of resorts, hotels and condominiums that were developed to accommodate visitors.

Considering hotel rooms lack kitchen facilities, going out to eat helps restaurants and businesses. Getting out, people shop and are enticed with tourist activities.

Though pandemic recovery presents challenges, it offers opportunities and hope for a beautiful and prosperous future.

Richard knows nothing about this country. Why do you expect One person, a president, to plan and manage testing at every airport? State and local governments do have a purpose! Maybe you should move to China or NoKorea so you can worship a supreme leader. All the problems will go away. I highly doubt Joe Biden can even dress himself in the morning. Every interview is closely monitored and managed by his campaign leader. Once he starts to fumble or gets ask a substantive question, they shit down the interview. Get a clue a quite whining about state and local governments having to get their act together. In fact America is a much stronger nation because we don’t need a central government to micromanage every region. Maybe read the constitution or go back to a fifth grade social studies class.

So Richard Robinson want’s help from an old corrupt, senile, white man “Politician” who has never made a dime outside of sucking on the Government tit and selling our Country for personal wealth. Biden, who, as a career Senator and Vice President, arranged for tens of millions of dollars transferred to his family’s bank accounts by using his political office to hold entire Countries hostage! When he wasn’t man handling women of all ages, he sold our Country for personal wealth by using his voter approved office to bribe entire Countries, think China and Ukraine, into transferring over a hundred billion dollars to his inept, drug induced, son Hunter and his Companies! The man should be dealt with like our Founding Fathers dealt with traitors! On the steps of the Capital Building in Washington DC for all to see. But little Richard wants to make him the most powerful man on earth. What a fool.

Nice try; but, you’ll have to do better tan charges without substance to make anyone compare unfavorably with an orange tinted, lift wearing, phony who is empathy free, morality free, and openly a crooked narcissist.

Yes, the real crime in this Covid19 situation is if we do not take this reset as an opportunity to change some of our tourist welcoming ways. Encourage people who move here to leave their mainland cars on the mainland! Keep residential housing for RESIDENTS.

Wasn’t someone on island making furniture out of albezia trees? This seems like such a great idea & with the right designs, this furniture could go international & power a whole new local & sustainable industry.

There are opportunities if we can think outside the box. We can’t wait until 2021 b/c nothing is guaranteed….not even elections at the moment.

Congratulations to the Class of 2020!! We are in need of your creative ingenuity so rise & shine & make yourselves heard!

Gee how were we ever safe before all of this? The people who enslave you cannot save you.

You see, Rick, before we didn’t have such a dangerous and infectious disease to worry about. Did you miss the news?

The annual seasonal FLU is blamed for killing a huge amount of people each year, with recent years the numbers being 650,000 deaths worldwide.

while almost 60,000,000 (60 million) die annually from all other causes. With 7 1/2 billion people on earth, dying is common.

Since this many are dying of seasonal flu, 650K annually, and of those who are flu infected, the majority have slight to zero symptoms but are able to spread the flu virus to others, yet no businesses needed to be shut, and tourism carried on without the killer seasonal flu virus being such a big deal, CoVid flu kills less than the seasonal flu, and for that flu there already is a vaccine..

Why now does the CoVid flu have to shut down worldwide economies and travel and tourism?

It seems we’ve been fooled, and sales inevitably of another, but new, with new patent owners of the new vaccine, over the years ahead as the new annual flu shot, strand to make $$$ Trillions of dollars.

There’s a motive and fact for you.

And all hyper advertised for free by the thrill seeking media, and a public with their big shot hero politicians, all too ready to deny the public the safety of individual immunity by virtue of herd immunity, putting the population at risk for the typical annual return of flu viruses.

Whose in line to own the patent for the new vaccine, we’ll have to wait and see.

But some in the medical field are saying 1 or more people in the CDC are responsible for having the Covid virus altered in the Wuhan, China, virus lab., in order to make the virus able to infect more people.

At least the CDC’s Dr. Fauchi denies this Covid virus is made in a lab. This should be double checked, since a lab could have disguised the virus.

Hey Michelle, you have a few good ideas (we should re-purpose the lands used by the pesticide/herbicide testing companies for hemp production), but you sound an awful lot like a hotel executive. If and when I travel, the last place I wish to stay is a hotel, where you are encouraged to hang around the “campus” to spend all your money before going home.
