Effective Monday, May 3, The Kaua‘i Bus will be reinstating the collection of bus fares on all fixed-route and paratransit buses.
The Kaua‘i Bus appeals to all bus riders to use bus service for essential needs only.
The Kaua‘i Bus service will remain at modified, reduced service levels until further notice.
Monthly bus passes and day passes may be purchased by mail, and are also available now at the usual retail locations. Monthly bus passes are also available in person at the Transportation Agency office, and through the county’s Motor Vehicle Registration office by using the drop box outside the Lihu‘e Civic Center Mo‘ikeha Building.

cancel the bus service and folks will stay home during the virus;
probably cheaper, less tax dollars ….to give the small number of riders, a taxi or Uber gift card each week…
versus the cost of all the buses running around empty;
