WASHINGTON — U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-rural O‘ahu and the Neighbor Islands) announced she is accepting submissions from Hawai‘i high school artists in the 2nd Congressional District for the 2020 Congressional Art Competition.
The deadline to submit artwork to the competition is Friday, April 3. Winning pieces will be announced at an awards ceremony on Saturday, May 16.
The first-place piece will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol, along with winning artwork from all other congressional districts around the country that participate in the nationwide competition.
