Spring Break Coral Reef Kids Camp, a fun and fascinating program for good swimmers ages 8-13, begins March 16. The three-day environmental education program combines snorkeling, arts, and games to provide young explorers with exciting and meaningful experiences in the natural world.
“Reef Camp is an inspiring learning adventure for children who love snorkeling and discovering the wonders of the ocean at our shores,” said Director Robin Mazor of Reef Guardians Hawaii, the non-profit organization operating this educational program.
The day camp will run from 8:30 a.m to 2:30 p.m., March 16 through 18, meeting at Anini and Kapa’a beaches. Snorkel gear will be provided.
Registration is made online at reefguardians.org or the Reef Guardians Hawaii Facebook page. Scholarships and free admission are available and signing up is simple. And just in case, rain dates are the following days before school resumes. Reef Guardians’ young participants gain knowledge and love of the ocean environment, leading to their further interest in caring for the environment.
