Aloha Kakou, Statistics show that 1 billion people a year worldwide get the flu from their region, and almost 800,000 die from it. As with the Corona Virus it is a natural form of selection…”natural selection”, meaning survival of the fittest, or cleaning house of the ill, the elderly, and those who weaken their own immune system by daily use of prescription drugs, not to mention the obese, diabetic, and those with heart disease and strokes and other chronic diseases that are brought on by ones own ignorance of dietary choice.
The US usually has a few million flu cases each year and usually 25,000 to 35,000 die from it; and that while under medical or hospital care, and / or have had the flu vaccine already, all with the same results as above. Flu vaccine stresses the immune system already trying to put up with the antigens in and on our food. Fortunately to date only 16,000 have died in the USA so far this year.
Are GMO FOODS ANTIGENIC stressors on the immune system…? Could be, but anybody making $$$ on GMO’s isn’t gonna say anything…!
Immunology should be a grammar school course requisite…then there would be less of this silly panic..now with happy ignorance.leading to a NEW vaccine that could potentially sell to billions of people in the trillions of dollars. This is not a medical conspiracy…it is medical CAPITALISM…THE RIGHT TO MAKE TRILLIONS of dollars AT THE EXPENSE OF Billions of People..

It’s not a matter of if it ibeing effective, but if it can sell, same motivation for the FDA and the CDC to say, sure why not another drug on the market? The author of this letter is out of touch, biased, and has a definite problem with common sense. What does the current administration have to do to convince the more naïve among us that this administration has done more for America than all the past administrations after Reagan combined? Trump was the first head of state to close down traffic to and from China, and the Democrats said he was overreacting. When are Democrats going to recognize how stupid they look after the past 3 plus years of lies, acting like babies, and obvious obstruction to our duly elected Executive Branch?? Pence is the VP of the United States and he has been put in charge of this problem. He was elected by our Country, little Mike! Any American worth 10 cents would be happy that for the first time in our History a Vice President with all the power and clout the people have given him is in charge. Thank God those who live in their little bubble of spite and delirium are so transparent to the informed!

This from my earlier response below applies to people like you….
The generally abysmal state of numeracy across all lines in the US and world leads to needless panic. People just don’t understand the difference between absolute and relative numbers and the probability of an event occurring.
For instance with the Corona Virus, the number of cases in the world is closer to 88352 (I think Mark’s figures are incorrect). The world population is 7.7 billion. So let’s put the virus issue in it’s proper perspective:
88352(cases)/7,700,000,000(population) = 0.00114743% the current infection rate.
Redoing this calculation with the number of actual deaths from the disease further reduces the probability that any given individual will be infected and die. (3001 deaths/7,700,000,000 = 0.00003897%
That is an infinitesimally small rate and therefor the probability of any individual contracting the virus and dying is virtually zero.
