KALAPAKI The Kauai Hoe Waa paddlers will alter their course for paddling races this upcoming weekend because of changing wind conditions.
KALAPAKI — The Kaua‘i Ho‘e Wa‘a paddlers will alter their course for paddling races this upcoming weekend because of changing wind conditions.
The KHW paddlers will run a short course, and long course, and a circuit race at the Niu Malu Canoe Club in Kalapaki at 11 a.m. Sunday. The race was initially scheduled from Poipu up to Kalapaki will now only be in Kalapaki.
The racers will do triangle laps, and the number of laps will depend on the number of participants running both the short and long courses.
The registration for the race will start at 9:30 a.m. at the club.
