Pua Nani Street
The county recently removed barricades on the unpaved area on Pua Nani Street. The road remains unpaved. What are the county’s plans and an estimated timeline to complete the paving on this portion of the roadway?
There are no current plans to resurface the roadway. The County of Kaua‘i will be covering the unpaved portion with temporary patch material.
Kainahola Road ‘junkyard’
Can the county look into cleaning up the junkyard area on Kainahola Road in Kapahi (just as you pass the reservoir)? There are numerous abandoned vehicles and broken glass littered around the area.
The County of Kaua‘i will check to see if the cars are on county or private property. If the abandoned vehicles are on county property we will notify the Kaua‘i Police Department.
