I think it is sad that all the GI reporter has to say about the Waimea Varsity Boys soccer is that they got 2 yellow cards! As a spectator there were other calls made against Kapaa. One where a Kapaa player strangled a Waimea player.. There was no card given to Kapaa! Continuing to print negative things about kids in the newspaper only fuels the already apparent unfairness shown to Waimea on & off the field. If you are going to report on “unsporting behavior” then make sure you note that there was such behavior on both sides. Remember that these are kids & they shouldn’t be portrayed as criminals because of the past.. Which again last years fateful match had fault on both sides.. But Waimea takes the heat for it all. These boys will be stronger for it while the opponents will just learn that they can get away with anything..
