Christy Luanne Pualani Kaui
Christy Luanne Pualani Kaui, of Forest Grove, Oregon, and Keahapana, passed away on Oct. 22, 2019, at the age of 54. She was employed at Ricoh, USA where she enjoyed working as a graphics technician. Born in Lihue, on Nov. 1, 1964, Christy is preceded in death by her father Richard C. Kaui, Sr.
She is survived by her daughter Sherice Kealalani (TJ Peterson) Almazan; son Shaun Kirk Kekoa Almazan; mother Jane L. Kaui; brothers, Daniel (Rochelle) Kaui, Randy (Erin) Kaui, Ricky (Luci) Kaui, Scott
(Aulani) Kaui; sisters, Joanne Griffin, Pamela (Brian) Baligad, Sharolyn “Mele” Kaui; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Private services will be held.
Roy Shane Sakata
Roy Shane Sakata, 49, of Kapaa, passed away at home on Dec. 16, 2019. He was born in Lihue, on Dec. 18, 1969.
Preceded in death by his parents Sazuku and Mamie Sakata; brothers, Danny Drapesa and Stanley Drapesa.
Roy is survived by his wife Tina Sakata; sons, Preston Sakata, Trevor Sakata, Bradley Sakata; sister Carolyn (Ricardo) Garma; brothers, Richard (Kandus Teel) Drapesa, Laureto “Larry” (Janelle) Drapesa; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Roy’s life will be held at the Hanamaulu Beach Pavilion on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, at noon.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home Assisted the family with arrangements.
