Futsal Kauai gets 2 of 6 titles

LIHUE — The Futsal Kauai 12 Under boys and the Futsal Kauai 14 Under girls picked up wins Sunday to wrap up the Kauai Soccer Association fall season at the North Vidinha fields.

Futsal Kauai 12 Under boys, playing under the Futsal Kauai 08B banner, finished with a 3-0 win over the Kauai Braveheart Futsal Club-Celtic to claim the 12UB crown, one of six awarded in the final games of the fall season where fans, players, and coaches trooped onto the field undaunted by the inclement weather.

Futsal Kauai 14 Under girls, playing as Futsal Kauai 06G, edged out Keahi SC 06G, 3-2 to claim that division title.

Other contests settling the divisions saw Team Onipa‘a 09G dropping 2-9 from Team Onipa‘a 10G to claim the 10 Under girls crown.

Chaos 10B preserved an undefeated season with its 3-0 win over Kaleimanu 10B to earn the 10 Under boys division honor.

On the 12 Under girls field, Rush Kauai 12UG was a 6-0 winner over Futsal Kauai 08G for that division trophy, and the Hawaii Slammers FC Kauai claimed the 14 Under boys crown with a 7-1 win over the Keahi SC 06B.
