Timotea Guillermo Obiano
Timotea Guillermo Obiano, 80, of Kapaa, passed away at Wilcox Medical Center on Oct. 18, 2019. She was born in Flores, San Manuel, Pangasinan, Philippines, on Jan. 24, 1939, and retired as a cook with Kountry Kitchen.
She was preceded in death by siblings Dorotea Orpia, Benjamin Guillermo, Primitivo “Eniong” Guillermo, Rosa Frias, Merlita Guillermo and Juanita Ramirez.
She is survived by husband Benito Lomboy Obiano, children Jesus “Jessie” (Juanita) Obiano of Kapaa, Josephine (Benny) Baris of Lihue and Eduardino “Eddie” (Lourdes) Obiano of Kapaa, grandchildren Brandon O. Baris of Oahu, Bradford O. Baris of Oahu, Benedick O. Baris of Lihue, Archer (Edna Lyn Acosta) Obiano of Kapaa, Aldrich Obiano of Washington, Andrew Obiano of Oahu and Jonathan Obiano of Kapaa, great-grandchild Zion Obiano of Kapaa, brothers Alberto Guillermo of Kapaa and Petronilo Guillermo of the Philippines, sister-in-law Beatriz “Naty” Obiano Garcia of Kealia, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 30, at St. Catherine Church, with viewing from 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Catherine Cemetery in Kealia.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Florentina ‘Tina’ Dugay Acob
Florentina “Tina” Dugay Acob, 74, of Kilauea, passed away at home on Oct. 21, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Nov. 16, 1944, in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, and was a retired housekeeper at The Cliffs at Princeville.
She was preceded in death by husband Pedro Acob, parents Tomas and Cecilia Dugay, brothers Rizalino Dugay, Pedro Dugay and Alejandro Dugay, and sister Maria Dugay Baxa.
She is survived by daughters Catherine “Kehau” (Rodney Woodward) Acob, Michelle (Joshua) Acob-Apana and Jacqueline (Jose) Lopez, and sons Edward (Maria) Acob, John-Pierre (Sonrisa Stepath) Acob, all of Kauai, aunt Isabel Luluquisen of California, sisters Salvacion Bolo and Jesusa Cadelinia, both of the Philippines, and Bernarda Dugay, Nenita Bergonia and Ardelina Constantino, all of Kauai, brother Emil (Lilia) Dugay of California, grandchildren Rachel “Momo” (Elele) DeMello, Kawaiolu Apana, Makaio Apana, Luis Lopez, Graciela Lopez, Cecilia Acob, Alexander Acob, Mark Martinez and CJ Martinez, and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Nov. 16, at St. Sylvester Church in Kilauea, where visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. and Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at the Kilauea Japanese Cemetery.

Mary Anne Morishige
Mary Anne Morishige passed away on Oct. 12, 2019. She was 74. She was born on Jan. 27, 1945, in Lihue.
She was preceded in death by father Masaharu Morishige, mother Hisayo Morishige, and brothers Stanley and Terry Morishige.
She is survived by sister Jean Muramoto (William, deceased) of Virginia, brother Gregg (Kathy) Morishige of Lihue, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at a later date.
