Eusebio Teirra Gasmen

Eusebio Teirra Gasmen, 90, of Kapaa, passed away at home on Oct. 19, 2019. He was born in Ilocos Sur, Philippines, on April 17, 1929, and retired as an irrigator with Lihue Plantation Company.

He was preceded in death by wife Francisca Gasmen, sons Constante and Mario Gasmen, and eight siblings.

He is survived by children Rogelio (Leonida) Gasmen, Rudolfo (Regina) Gasmen, Samuel (Vangie) Gasmen, Rizalde (Marilou) Gasmen, Evelyn (Ricky) Cunanan and Kimo (Emily) Gasmen, all of Oahu, and Lisa Gasmen of Kauai, 20 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, brother Baltazar Gasmen, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23, at St. Catherine Church, with viewing from 8 a.m. and rosary and Mass celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Kealia Cemetery.

Kauai Memorial Gardens &Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Timotea Guillermo Obiano

Timotea Guillermo Obiano, 80, of Kapaa, passed away at Wilcox Medical Center on Oct. 18, 2019. She was born in Flores, San Manuel, Pangasinan, Philippines, on Jan. 24, 1939, and retired as a cook with Kountry Kitchen.

She was preceded in death by siblings Dorotea Orpia, Benjamin Guillermo, Primitivo “Eniong” Guillermo, Rosa Frias, Merlita Guillermo and Juanita Ramirez.

She is survived by husband Benito Lomboy Obiano, children Jesus “Jessie” (Juanita) Obiano, Josephine (Benny) Baris and Eduardino “Eddie” (Lourdes) Obiano, grandchildren Brandon O. Baris of Oahu, Bradford O. Baris of Oahu, Benedick O. Baris of Lihue, Archer (Edna Lyn Acosta) Obiano, Aldrich Obiano of Washington, Andrew Obiano of Oahu and Jonathan Obiano of Kapaa, great-grandchild Zion Obiano of Kapaa, brothers Alberto Guillermo of Kapaa and Petronilo Guillermo of the Philippines, sister-in-law Beatriz “Naty” Obiano Garcia of Kealia, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 30, at St. Catherine Church, with viewing from 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Catherine Cemetery at Kealia.
