HEA goals have been to improve parking and safety at Friday Art Nights. HEA is working with Parks and Recreation to test the impact on the park itself, the community, and on how it alleviates parking issues, a press release said.
On-site security is a requirement and the Hanapepe Pop Warner and Hanapepe Baseball parents have stepped up to provide security. While they cannot charge for parking, they can ask for donations or even sell items.
They have been doing this for several weeks and are raising funds to support their programs which support our keiki. They have even received donations from Art Night attendees not using the parking but wanting to support their fundraising.
If attending Friday Art Night in Hanapepe, turn onto Kona Road off Kaumualii Highway (at the Hanapepe Fire Station) to get to this convenient parking OVERSET FOLLOWS:and to support these keiki recreational programs.
