Benjamin Albarado Allianic, Sr.
Benjamin Albarado Allianic, Sr. passed away at home in Lawai on Aug. 29, 2019, at the age of 93. He was born on July 31, 1926, in Waimea. He was veteran with the US Army and a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his wife Linda Allianic; daughter Juvana Rapozo; father Dorotio Allianic; mother Margaret Albarado Allianic; grandson Gary Allianic, Jr.
He is survived by his sons, Benjamin Allianic, Jr. (Laura) of Florida, Gary Allianic, Sr. of Lihue, Mark Allianic of Lawai, Glenn Allianic (June) of Koloa, Derwin Allianic (Lisa) of Lihue; son-in-law John Rapozo of Kaumakani; daughters, Rose Hashimoto (Barry) of Waimea, Maureen Allianic of Hanapepe, Anna Brun (Francis “Joey” Brun) of Lawai; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, William Allianic, Sr. of Pakala, Edward Allianic (Sandy) of Seattle, Washington; sisters, Lillian Labrador of Florida, Connie Bacarro (Merv) of Lihue, Rose Marie Peleres (Herman) of Mililani, Carmen Nordmeir (Julius) of Wamea; numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held on Sept. 28, 2019, at Kauai Veterans Cemetery with visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. Service is at 10 a.m. Family suggests casual attire, flowers welcome, luncheon to follow.

Sharon Mae Santiago
Sharon Mae Santiago passed away in Lihue on July 28, 2019, at the age of 59. She was born on Jan. 5, 1960, in Lihue. She was involved in voluntary community outreach and other church activities.
She was preceded in death by her father Angel Santiago, Sr.; her mother Margaret (Richard) Gomes; sister Dora Anna (Dubo) Hirokane.
She is survived by her sons, Shaun-Casey (Krystal) Banasihan, Christian (Faye) Santiago-Ader; daughters, Sharae (Hayward) Halog, Shaun-Tae (Naumu) Santiago; brothers, Angel (Lorita) Santiago, Jr., Ronald (Irvette) Santiago, Chico Santiago, Manuel (Valerie) Santiago; sister Matilda (George) Inouye; 6 grandsons; 5 granddaughters; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held on Sept. 21, 2019. Burial at Kekaha Cemetery at 9 a.m. A Celebration of Life to follow at Waimea Neighborhood Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Family suggests casual attire, flowers welcome.

David Kalaunuiohua Kahanu Kahaunaele Sr.
David Kalaunuiohua Kahanu Kahaunaele Sr., 84, of Anahola, passed away at home on Aug. 30, 2019. He was born on Oahu on Sept. 20, 1934, a veteran of the United State Coast Guard and retired from Kauai Community Correctional Center as an Adult Corrections Officer.
Preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Lynette Kanani Panui Kahaunaele; daughter Cynthia Kahaunaele; parents Joseph and Elizabeth Kahaunaele; siblings, Kelly Harbottle, Dora Swain, Joseph Kahaunaele, Larry Kahaunaele and Alapai Sperry.
David is survived by his children, Ipo (Mike) Kahaunaele-Ferriera, David (Teri) K. K. Kahaunaele Jr., Paulette K. Kahaunaele-Ferreira, Lyman K. Kahaunaele, Margaret (Leone) H. Lea’e, Raymond (Maile) K. Kahaunaele; sister Henrietta Kailimai; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, at Anahola Beach Park beginning at 9 a.m.

Alfreda Haunani Hookano
Alfreda Haunani Hookano passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Aug. 27, 2019, at the age of 66. She was born on Aug. 18, 1953 in Waimea. She was a retired Head Custodian at Waimea High School.
She was preceded in death by parents Ohu and Eliza Hookano; sisters, Ui Hookano, Lehua Kona, Kiki Hookano.
She is survived by her lifetime companion Dennis Matsuda; son Shawn (Roslynn) Hookano; hanai-son Kaui (Dina) Kona; grandchildren, Brayden, Ashley, Reyah, Ani, Raelee, Rayanne, Maya, Sumiko, Makaio, Kyana, Aliyah; great-grandchildren, Braylee, Tayzlin, Kyrie; brothers, Renfred (Michelle) Hookano, Lionel Hookano, Norman (Noe) Hookano, Dean (Debbie) Hookano, Delbert Hookano; sister Joni Hookano; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Roger Sueki Inouye
In loving memory, Roger, 71, of Kaneohe, passed away peacefully on Aug. 25, 2019, in the University of Washington Medical Center surrounded by family. Roger was born in Koloa on Jan. 27, 1948.
Predeceased by his parents Shigeichi and Kii Inouye.
Survived by his wife Susan; son Reid Inouye; brothers, Allen (Tomo), Marvin (Cherylyn) Inouye; sister Faith Muraoka.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, beginning at 10 a.m. and services at 11 a.m. at Koloa Missionary Church, with lunch to follow.
Dora Leilani Cobb-Adams
Dora Leilani Cobb-Adams danced her way into heaven on Sept. 7, 2019. She was born in Oakland, California, and although she was well-traveled, her heart always remained at the family’s beloved River House in Anahola. Leilani met the love of her life, Henry, while traveling the world as a hula dancer on the Hawaiian Airlines promotional team. She charmed many with her grace and beauty, accompanying musicians like Eddie Kamae and George Helm. Leilani also worked as a Legislative Manager, Realtor, and Property Manager.
Leilani and Henry envisioned turning the River House property, which had been in the Kahaunaele family for years, into a place they could live and share with generations to come. Over the years, Leilani found much joy in opening up this special place to so many people for celebration, solace, and ‘ohana.
Leilani was preceded in death by her husband Henry Cobb-Adams III; mother Dora Keapo Kahaunaele Swain; grandson Morgan Vice.
She is survived by sons, Shane Cobb-Adams, Erin (Pua) Cobb-Adams; grandchildren, Noah (Stacey) Vice, Maxine (Danny) Medeiros, Raeanne Cobb-Adams, Alia Vice, Dylan Watanabe, Kalaunuiohua Cobb-Adams, Kahanohaweo Cobb-Adams, Wainohia Cobb-Adams, Ka’onohihiwahiwa Cobb-Adams; great-grandchildren, Kamuela Medeiros, Mehana Medeiros, Leila Vice; siblings, Captain Lani Swain, Enola Jo Kawelo, Mervlyn Kitashima, Billy Swain, Philip Swain Anna Marie Velasco, Raymond Salazar; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Leilani’s family invites family, friends, and fellow hula dancers to join them in celebrating her life at the River House in Anahola, 4271-E Kamane Road, on Friday, Sept. 20, 2019, from 4 to 10 p.m. The family extends a special invite to any hula dancers who danced alongside Leilani over the years.

Marilyn Medina Corpuz passed away at home on Sept. 13, 2019, at the age of 62. She was born on Jan. 31, 1957, in Brgy. Sta Aa Gattaran. She was a Crew Trainer.
She was preceded in death by her father Candido Medina; mother Maria Medina; brother Orlando Medina.
She is survived by her husband Arnold Asuncion Corpuz; sons, Armando Corpuz, Albert Corpuz (Daisy), Dexter Corpuz (Vanie), Christopher Corpuz; daughters, Arlene Corpuz (Harold), Argelyn Corpuz (Michael), Analyn Corpuz, Miriam Corpuz (Joey); 10 grandchildren; brothers, Carlos (Wilma) Medina of Eleele, Limuel (Marey) Medina of Kaumakani, Edmund (Mylene) Medina of Kaumakani, Litho (Charlene) Medina of Koloa; sisters, Estrella Fernando of Eleele, Leony (Steve) Medina of Hanapepe.
