WAILUA — Pat Viernes teamed with Rafael Jacinto to take top honors in the Blind Draw division of the 18th Kauai Filipino Chamber of Commerce Foundation golf tournament that was contested on Labor Day at the Wailua Golf Course.
Second and third places in the Blind Draw belonged to the duo of Juanito Rabaino and Kilipaki Vaughn, and Travis Akasaki and Rudy Sina, respectively, states the announcement by the KFCCF.
Men’s A Flight winners included Darren Agoo getting first place followed by Roven Poai and Randy Iloreta.
Men’s B Flight winners saw Jesse Fukushima rise to the top followed by Speedy Bailey and Howard Uohara.
Christine Brown topped the Women’s Flight leaderboard followed by Sandi Quinsaat and Yu-sie Page.
Closest to the Pin winners included Wes Perreira getting the nearest to Hole No. 7, and Marilyn Solis coming closest to Hole No. 17.
The tournament was presented by the Kauai Filipino Chamber of Commerce Foundation for the second year with a goal of raising funds that are used for scholarships for Kauai’s students.
Following play, contestants were treated to a Labor Day luncheon at the Lydgate Park pavilions where Cesar Portugal was honored for his years of service with the golf tournament.
