Eveline Ruth Pascua Corpuz
Eveline Ruth Pascua Corpuz passed away on July 13, 2019.
She was born on Feb. 26, 1957, and worked as a certified nurses’ aide.
She was preceded in death by mother Esmenia P. Pascua and father Jaime S. Pascua.
She is survived by husband Rogelio L. Corpuz, siblings Rodney (Jan) Pascua, Delia (Allen) Tumbaga and Edwin (Mely) Pascua, nephews Bryson (Hosanna) Tumbaga, Cyrus (Beverly) Tumbaga and James (Jaimie W.) Pascua, nieces Jaimie (Severino Jr.) Pascua and Tiana Bee (Harold) Pascua, grandnephews and grandnieces Jayvier Butay, Sylas Butay, Xaileia Ho‘opi‘i, Marley Jay Wakumoto-Pascua, Evelia Tumbaga and Darius Jace Tumbaga, and numerous aunties, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Aug. 16, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary chapel in Koloa, with services to begin at 6 p.m.
Services will also be held on Saturday, Aug. 17, at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo, with visitation at 8:30 a.m. and Mass to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Hanapepe Public Cemetery.
Borthwick Kauai Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
Shigeo Oshiro
Shigeo Oshiro passed away at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital in Kapaa on June 12, 2019, at the age of 86. He was born on July 14, 1933 in Waimea, and was a shift supervisor at Kauai Electric’s power plant.
He was preceded in death by parents Gisuke and Ushi Oshiro, wife Alice (Fujimura) Oshiro, and son Clayton Oshiro.
He is survived by sons Milton (Marla) Oshiro of Eleele, Russell (Song Chu) Oshiro of Kapolei, Oahu, grandchildren Joseph Oshiro and Ana Oshiro, great grandchildren Wyatt and Wynter Oshiro, brothers Yoshio Oshiro of Pearl City, Oahu, and Rodney (Evonne) Oshiro of Hilo, Hawaii, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services were held.
Garden Island Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
Elena Foronda Aguinaldo
Elena Foronda Aguinaldo, 65, of Lihue, passed away at Garden Isle Health Care on Aug. 4, 2019. She was born in Aurora, Isabela, Philippines, on June 27, 1954, and was employed as a sales associate with Walmart.
She was preceded in death by parents Andres and Maria Aguinaldo, and brother Rosario Aguinaldo.
She is survived by son Jefferson (Jessica) Mones, sisters Eliza Caoagas of Lihue and Emeteria Velasco and Rita Rumbaoa of the Philippines, brother Jose Aguinaldo of the Philippines, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 31, at Immaculate Conception Church, with viewing from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
