LIHUE Kauai police on Wednesday apprehended 21-year-old Isaiah Pongasi-Adric who escaped from Kauai Community Correctional Center on Sunday night.
LIHUE — Kauai police on Wednesday apprehended 21-year-old Isaiah Pongasi-Adric who escaped from Kauai Community Correctional Center on Sunday night.
Pongasi-Adric was located at a residence in Anahola about 9 a.m. He surrendered to police without incident, and was arrested for escape in the second degree and on two criminal contempt of court warrants, according to a county press release.
Pongasi-Adric was booked at Lihue Police Cellblock before being transferred back to the custody of the state Department of Public Safety.
Kauai police continue to search for Jeffrey Kelekoma Jr. who also escaped from KCCC on Sunday.
Kelekoma Jr. is 37 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighs 220 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information on Kelekoma Jr.’s whereabouts is urged to call Police Dispatch at 241-1711. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers Kaua‘i at 246-8300.
