The Kauai Fire Department and American Medical Response treat a fallen March to the Mauna participant. KFD was Johnny-on-the-spotSunday after the crew was affected by the Rice Street closure and the March to the Mauna after responding to an earlier call.

What a hectic weekend as Kauai recovers from no less than two parades (Isabel Gampon was in the historic Koloa Plantation Days parade, too), a state scholarship pageant (congrats to Isabel Gampon on being named the 2019 Miss Hawaii Filipina!), and more. It’s a good thing Mayor Derek S.K. Kawakami’s wardrobe is diverse enough that he could dress appropriately for all those events.
