The Menehune filled five of the 11 slots, including Tysson Unciano being named Player of the Year, voted on by the KIF coaches and officials. Other Menehune getting all-star nods include Lacin Montemayor filling in first base, Kaikoa Perreira-Alquiza fielding shortstop, and Levi Snowden getting one of three outfield positions.
The Kapaa Warriors secured four spots, including Kaimi Malina being named to the pitcher’s position and fellow Warrior Ka‘eo Kamau getting the nod as catcher. Nainoa Cardinez was voted to the utility spot, and Levi Cummings filled in the outfield. Kauai High School, with Coach Hank Ibia retiring at the close of the season, secured three spots including Tyler Oshima being named to second base, Nainoa Kane-Yates getting the nod for third base, and Lanakila Lovell-Obatake filling in one of the outfield positions.
