HAENA — The water-quality advisory for Haena Beach Park has been canceled, as state Department of Health water-sample testing has shown enterococci levels no longer exceed state thresholds.
The advisory was issued Wednesday when levels of 164 enterococci per 100 milliliters were found at Haena Beach Park during routine beach monitoring. The state threshold is 130 enterococci per 100 mL.
The advisory also included high-bacteria counts for the public beach at Waikiki, with tests showing counts of 384 enterococci per 100 milliliters of water.
That advisory is still in effect, according to the DOH Clean Water Branch.
