HONOLULU — The Legal Aid Society of Hawaii welcomes Joseph Boivin Jr. as the new president of its board of directors for a two-year term ending in June 2021.
Boivin is president of Young Brothers, LLC., Hawaii’s water carrier responsible for transporting all cargo that originates and ends in the state.
Boivin has been a board member of the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii since 2009 and, most recently, served as vice president of the board. Boivin is currently the only board member who is not an attorney.
“I am honored to serve alongside Legal Aid Society of Hawaii’s dedicated staff and board who, day after day, passionately dedicate themselves to supporting the people of Hawaii,” Boivin said. “Through its free legal services, Legal Aid helps to build stronger families and, in turn, stronger communities in Hawaii.”
Boivin formerly served as senior vice president of The Gas Company, and was a senior associate in the Honolulu office of Booz Allen Hamilton.
