LIHUE — Kauai High School’s athletic department is accepting resumes from people interested in the head coach job for the Red Raider boys baseball program.
The vacancy became available following the retirement of former baseball coach Hank Ibia at the close of the 2019 Kauai Interscholastic Federation baseball season.
“We’re looking for the right individual to run the entire baseball program,” said Kauai High School Athletic Director Keli‘i Morgado. “This includes both the varsity and junior-varsity teams.”
The scope of responsibilities includes, but is not limited to, hiring members of the coaching staff, including the junior-varsity head coach, and all varsity and JV assistant coaches, developing fundamental skill of players, monitoring the players’ academic progress, fundraising, planning preseason travel, promoting the athletic department’s philosophies, adhering to state Department of Education policies and procedures, and working closely with the school’s administration.
Applicants should submit resumes to Morgado at Kauai High School by Monday, July 22.
Finalists will be contacted for interviews scheduled for Thursday, July 25.
