HANALEI — A public meeting regarding the reopening of Black Pot Beach Park is set for Thursday, July 11, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Hanalei School cafeteria.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss plans for reopening Black Pot Beach Park, including updates to boat ramps and public parking areas.
“This meeting is to discuss the work that has been completed and the plans for reopening the beach park, which include public parking areas, boat ramps, and other park-related updates,” said Director of Parks and Recreation Patrick Porter. “We thank the public, as well as the North Shore community for your continued patience with this project.”

They should open it up already if they are indeed waiting for the water to come back on and there will be no bathrooms. Black Pot belongs to the people of Kauai not exclusive to the privileged rich few who live up there. You can’t milk the flood recovery indefinitely.
