King tides documentation sought

LIHUE — King tides are set to hit the islands at the beginning of July and it’s a chance for citizens to contribute to the Hawaii and Pacific Islands King Tides Project.

Photograph the impacts of king tides, the highest tides of the year, and then submit them to the project’s website to be included. By submitting photos of peak high tides at locations across the Hawaii Islands, people are helping scientists with organizations statewide study the impacts of climate change and rising sea levels.

Submit photos to pacificislandskingtides.org.
