Happy birthday, Mark Perriello, who celebrated his special day with nearly 400 people at the Kauai Chamber of Commerce second quarter general membership meeting presented by Corteva Agriscience and featuring Hawaii farm-to-plate food at the Kauai Marriott Resort &Beach Club Thursday.
Bennette Misalucha (Eddie Topenio got to be a guest) emceed the meeting where more than $10,000 in scholarships (one went to Isabel Gampon, who earned the 2019 Miss Kauai Filipina crown just last week during the pageant emceed by Bennette and Eddie) were distributed.
Ms. Hawaii United States Amanda Smith is looking ahead to her national pageant that is coming up in August in Las Vegas.
Kudos to Sherri Holcomb and the Kauai Marriott ohana on another great craft fair (the bento and banana bread were selling well) benefiting the Children’s Miracle Network. The driftwood art table by Rachel Karimi and Anne-Marie Jordan had a steady stream of crafters designing a variety of pieces ranging from picture frames to hangers, and Harriet Steiner already had her patriotic spirit dolls ready for July 4th.

It was a surprise to see that 400 of our Chamber of Commerce allowed Dow Chemcial’s Corteva AgriScience to put on a Farm to Table Luncheon at the Marriot in LIHUE.
Corteva AgriScience is famous for recklessly Genetically Modifying Organisms (GMO) seeds to produce food. GMO-ing genes is a little like splitting atoms with a Gene Gun…rather reckless, or is it wreck-full.
Their food seeds are apparently better than God’s food seed, better than Bulla-Eeyah, whose seeds must have been sorely lacking something to require altering God’s Own Plan and the Design of the Almighty’s Creation for Dow-Corteva to interfere with ?Nature and come to KAUAI and step on the toes, er, seeds of God, that have been on Kauai a good part of Kauai’s 5 Million Year existence.
And not only has their arrogance vs. God been so blatant that they go ahead and still need to provide the petrochemicals for the spraying of the food fields with poisons for insects, weeds, and pests. (Even my dog is a pest sometimes, you don’t think they’d allow overspray to poison my dog, even a little, do ya…? Or us…?).
And so it is a wonder that about 400 well dressed people, seemingly at least partially educated people, allow themselves to be fed what might be Farm to Table food that may have been well dressed sprayed with Agriculture Petrochemicals and grown by seeds untouched by God.
I can only speak to Christianity, but were any of us there…?
Seems their meeting may have been a little TOXIC…if not experimental…?
Charles
