LIHUE The Department of Public Works announced lane closures on Hardy and Umi streets starting today and ending Friday to allow Maui Kupono Builders to conduct road construction work in the area from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting.
LIHUE — The Department of Public Works announced lane closures on Hardy and Umi streets starting today and ending Friday to allow Maui Kupono Builders to conduct road construction work in the area from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting.
There will be one-way traffic on Hardy Street from Kuhio Highway to ‘Eiwa Street. Motorists will be allowed to enter Hardy Street via Kuhio Highway. Additionally, motorists may only make a left turn onto Hardy Street via Akahi Street.
On Friday, the roundabout on Hardy Street will be closed for reconstruction. Signs will be installed on Umi and Hardy streets to remind motorists of the road closures. Only local residents and motorists visiting businesses along Hardy Street and Umi streets will be allowed to enter the work zone.
