HONOLULU – Gov. David Ige issued a third supplementary emergency proclamation that extends the disaster emergency relief period for homelessness across the state.
The purpose of the emergency proclamation is to accelerate the completion of housing projects for individuals and families who are transitioning out of homelessness. It also expands shelter capacity and access to services.
The governor signed the initial emergency proclamation for homelessness on Dec. 14, 2018, a supplementary proclamation on Feb. 12, and a second supplementary proclamation on April 12.
The third supplementary proclamation extends the relief period until Aug. 7.
It’s not a homeless emergency, it’s an idiot emergency! Stop moving to Hawaii if you can’t afford to live here. Stop having babies you can’t afford to take care of. Stop expecting “aloha” to keep you alive here. The people who use that word are the same ones who are camping out on the beaches in rusted out minivans. DUH!
Mina- how do you pronounce your name, “Mean-a”?
The real question is how many of these homeless people are out of State sent here on one way tickets to rid themselves of the homeless problem? Stupid politicians who tried to make Hawaii a sanctuary State as in California who recently passed a $64 million a year medical coverage for illegal migrants, which is similar to your own legislatures who also passed a $1.2 billion medical program for Micronesians which was supposed to be covered by the Federal government for atomic testing.
Ige is just another mouth piece for these liberal Democrats who think its okay to fund illegals but not our homeless veterans or needy families displaced by flooding.
I’m with harry – offload homeless to mainland. There’s nothing for them in the islands and they can’t contribute anything or don’t want to.
Hey George, how many will you personally pay to send?
