KALAHEO National Tropical Botanical Garden will be throwing an Easter Eggstravaganza from 10 a.m. to noon Sunday at the South Shore Visitors Center. This free event welcomes all ages to enjoy spring-themed activities.
KALAHEO — National Tropical Botanical Garden will be throwing an Easter Eggstravaganza from 10 a.m. to noon Sunday at the South Shore Visitors Center. This free event welcomes all ages to enjoy spring-themed activities.
Children 12 and under can participate in the Easter egg hunt, as well as take photos with the Easter bunny. A mimosa garden will be available for adults 21 and over. There will be prize drawings that include handmade finger puppets and other toys. Plus, those attending the Easter gathering can take advantage of 50 percent off admission to McBryde Garden all day.
Also on Sunday, New Hope Lihue Church will host an Easter service at 9:15 a.m. at the Kauai Veterans Center. After the service, at 11:15 a.m. on the Vidinha Stadium soccer fields, the church will host a huge helicopter egg drop and hunt, with prizes and fun for everyone. It is free. This helicopter egg drop will be a first for Kauai and possibly the state, say organizers. There will be over 10,000 eggs.
New Hope Kauai is having an egg hunt outside Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall following its 9:30 a.m. Sunday service there. There will also be a free luau.
Calvary Chapel Lihue is having an egg hunt at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Nawiliwili Park. That follows its sunrise service at 7 and breakfast at 8:30.
King’s Chapel will have two Easter egg hunts on Friday. The first is 10 a.m. at Hanapepe Stadium. The second is 4 p.m. at the King’s Chapel Hanamaulu property. Pre-register at kckauai.com.
