The shelters are at Kealia Beach (one on each side of Kuhio Highway, for Lihue and Hanalei bound passengers, respectively), Kapahi Food Mart, Kapaa Public Library, Bryan J. Baptiste Sports Complex in Kapaa, Waipouli Beach Resort, Kealaula (Waialo Road in Eleele), Waimea Athletic Field (Kekaha bound) and across Kaumualii Highway from the Waimea Athletic Field (Lihue bound).
That’s great news. A few years ago, the Mayor told me that Poipu shelters aren’t being installed because roadway restructure projects are scheduled for this year. I wonder if either the bus shelters or the road alterations are still on the agenda. Maybe a follow up to this story could include details of future projects. (Like Da Shadow would tell us)
