National Botanical Tropical Gardens and Kauai Community College’s collaborative “Earth Matters” public lecture series continues on Tuesday, April 9, at 5:30 p.m. in the KCC Campus Center cafeteria.
Speaker Joshlyn Sand will talk about the Honolulu Botanical Gardens, a network of five gardens spanning 650-acres with over 9,000 plant species.
Sand, HBG’s director, will introduce iconic botanical wonders from around the world found in HBG. A former NTBG intern, Sand will discuss how garden staff care for a diverse assemblage of global plants in a vibrant, urban setting.
