HANAPEPE — The Department of Water reminds customers of the scheduled water service shutdown for customers on a portion of Puolo Road; from Hanapepe Road to Kaumuali Highway, including some customers located near the intersection of Puolo Road and Kaumualii Highway in Hanapepe.
The water service shutdown will also include the Shell gas station located at the intersection of Kaumualii Highway and Iona Road in Hanapepe. Water service will be turned off from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. today and on Wednesday weather permitting, in order to tie-in a temporary 12-inch waterline to the existing system, as part of the Hanapepe-Eleele Water Systems Improvements Project.
A trailer-mounted water tank containing potable water will be available for customers and will be located near intersection of Puolo Road and Kaumuali‘i Highway in Hanapepe. Customers are asked to bring their own containers to fill up.
