LIHUE — As part of National Fair Housing Month in April, the Kauai County Housing Agency announces a free training opportunity for landlords and tenants to learn about the most current federal and state fair housing laws.
The training will take place on Tuesday, April 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Lihue Civic Center, Pi‘ikoi Building conference rooms A and B.
The theme for this year’s Fair Housing Month is “Fair Housing: There’s No Place Like Home.”
Experts from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Hawaii Civil Rights Commission, and Legal Aid Society of Hawaii will present the most current information and answer questions in regards to the most current federal and state fair housing laws.
Registration forms are available at the Kauai County Housing Agency, 4444 Rice Street, Suite 330, Lihue, between 7:45 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays except county holidays, or online at www.kauai.gov/housing. Registration forms are due April 2.
