KEKAHA — Firefighters extinguished four brush fires in Kekaha, in an area about 25 feet by 400 feet, near the Kikiaola Small Boat Harbor in Kekaha on Sunday.
No injuries were reported.
Firefighters from the Waimea and Hanapepe fire stations responded to the brush fires that were reported about 2:40 p.m., according to a press release.
Firefighters from the Waimea station first arrived on scene about 2:45 p.m.
Because of high winds, firefighters from the Hanapepe fire station responded to assist with two brush fires closer to the harbor entrance.
Fire crews had the fires under control about 2:50 p.m., and cleared the scene about 4 p.m.
The cause of the fires are under investigation.
