LIHUE The Committee on the Status of Women for Womens History Month invites the public to experience a free heart-to-heart talk with featured speakers and honorees Renae Hamilton-Cambeilh and Gina Kaulukukui on March 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall.
LIHUE — The Committee on the Status of Women for Women’s History Month invites the public to experience a free heart-to-heart talk with featured speakers and honorees Renae Hamilton-Cambeilh and Gina Kaulukukui on March 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall.
Hamilton-Cambeilh and Kaulukukui were selected for their public service, dedication, and leadership in the community.
“These women are the essence of this year’s theme, ‘Visionary Women: Champions of Peace and Non-Violence,’ and have influenced public policy, community organization, and worked tirelessly to make Kaua‘i a better place to live,” according to a press release.
Hamilton-Cambeilh has been with the YWCA of Kauai for the past 21 years in roles such as a crisis counselor, prevention educator, and for the past 10 years, as the executive director.
Kaulukukui is the domestic violence interventions coordinator for the Kauai Police Department.
She is a certified grief counselor, co-founder and executive director of Life’s Bridges Hawaii Inc., dedicated to providing immediate support to anyone following a sudden and traumatic death.
