Kapaa High School’s varsity boys soccer team is seeded No. 4 in the 2019 The Queen’s Medical Center Boys Soccer Championships–Division II state tournament.
Kapaa (9-1-1 KIF), this year’s Kauai Interscholastic Federation champion, will play Seabury Hall of the Maui Interscholastic League in the quarterfinals Feb. 7 at the Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex on Oahu.
All opening round matches are scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex.
No. 1 seed Kamehameha Schools-Hawaii of the Big Island Interscholastic Federation will play against Waialua High School of the Oahu Interscholastic Association in the opening round.
No. 2 seed Saint Louis School of the Interscholastic League of Honolulu will face Waipahu High School of the OIA. No. 3 seed Kalaheo High School of the OIA will play against Makua Lani Christian Academy of the Big Island Interscholastic Federation.
In last year’s tournament, Kapaa reached the Division II championship match but lost to state-winner KS-Hawaii in the final. Kapaa last year was seeded No. 2.
