Kauai Independent Food Bank volunteers like the Kauai High School Leo Club members (not in order) Breanna Masulit, Leijah Kaluahine, Joenicia Camelo, Jessica Galzote, Kaylee Goias-Jerves and Kassie Valenzuela make short work of packing nearly 100 packages for the KIFB Backpack program Wednesday. The volunteerism helps tremendously in trying to juggle the food bank’s regular programs and the new program of helping feed federal workers impacted by the partial government shutdown, said KIFB Programs Manager Leona Perez.
