On Oahu, 3,609 single-family homes sold in 2018, with a median price of $790,000, according to the Honolulu Board of Realtors. The number of homes sold was down 7.7 percent from 2017 when 3,908 single-family sold, but the median sales price rose to 4.6 percent from $755,000.

Condominium sales on Oahu totaled 5,679 in 2018, down from 5,824 in 2017. But the median sales price climbed 3.7 percent, to $420,00 from $405,000.
“While sales slowed and inventory of active listings increased in the last few months of 2018, December home prices remained very stable,” said Darryl Macha, 2018 president of the Honolulu Board of Realtors, in a press release. “We began to see a shift in the market during the last quarter of the year and, as 2019 begins, it appears that trends point toward a more balanced market for buyers and sellers.
