West Kauai Lions celebrate 81 years

HANAPEPE — West Kauai Lions Club has been doing community service on Kauai for more than 81 years.

WKLC president Eric Nordmeier would like to invite people to celebrate its charter on Jan. 16, starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Wong’s Chinese Restaurant in Hanapepe.

“Our doors are open to all Lions, family, friends, and anyone else who may have been touched in some way by the West Kauai Lions Clubs programs or services. Those with memorabilia and stories can share them at this Charter Celebration. No RSVP required,” Nordmeier said.

Some of the programs West Kauai Lions Club include the Sight Is Beautiful poster contest, the Ed Ho Swim Meet, the fishing derby, Youth Baseball Uniform shirts, and many others.
