Road closures for Light Parade

WAIMEA — The annual Waimea Christmas Light Parade is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. Saturday.

The parade will begin at Waimea Canyon Middle School parking lot to Huakai Road. The route continues down Waimea Canyon Drive to Kaumualii Highway, ending at the Alawai Road intersection.

To accommodate the parade, the Kauai Police Department will close off all streets along the parade route. Road closures will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will remain closed until 8:30 pm.

No parking will be allowed along the parade route.

Due to the road closures, the Kaua‘i Bus Route 200 departing Lihue at 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. will end in Waimea at the Russian Fort parking lot. The last Route 100 bus will leave Kekaha at 5:10 p.m.
