Kukui Grove Center has a full slate of activities today.
Small Business Saturday Celebration is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Santa arrives at 11. Live music by Cruz Control from 12:30 to 2 p.m.
Craft tables by the Kauai Made vendors will be joined by small businesses at the center including the newly reopened Kauai Bakery, Deja Vu Surf Hawaii, Deli &Bread, Sone’s, Oki’s, Kalapaki Joe’s, the new Flip Flop Shops, Ainofea, Aloha Ramen, Premier Martial Arts and Great Harvest.
It is the 25th anniversary of the Kauai Christmas Parade with the theme “A Hint of Silver,” sponsored by the Garden Island Federal Credit Union, Kauai Teachers Federal Credit Union, and Kukui Grove Center. It is set for 4:30 p.m.
Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr. is this year’s parade grand marshal.
Over 25 groups have registered to participate in this year’s parade, one of the biggest ever, including marching bands from Chiefess Kamakahele MS, the Kapaa MS Choir &Ukulele Band, and the Kalaheo School Sunshine Express. Classic Cars, the Dog Fanciers Club, Aloha Dance Studio, Kauai High Cheerleaders, and Santa will be there.
