Rufino Rivera Ramos Sr.
Rufino Rivera Ramos Sr., 89, of Kekaha, passed away on Nov. 15, 2018, at his home.
Born on July 10, 1929 in Tarlac, Philippines, he was a landscaper with Pioneer and Poipu Kai.
He was preceded in death by daughter Jesabel Ramos.
He is survived by wife Betty Peralta Ramos of Kekaha, daughters Imelda (Ray) Miguel, Nemia (Tony) Guirao, Diosalinda (July) Gregorio, Lorna (Robert) Paculanan, Thelma (Garret) Ramos, Genelyn (Derrick) Ramos, Jovelyn Aquino and Raquel Ramos, sons Robert (Liza) Ramos, Rodrigo (Marie) Ramos, Fernando (Vaoiva) Ramos, Rufino Ramos Jr. and James Ramos, siblings Juliana (Jesus), Agatona (Abraham), Juana (Delphin), Maxima (Jesus), Erlina (Florentino) and Thomas (Rosemarie) Jr., and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Nov. 24, at Kekaha Methodist Church from 9 to 10:45 a.m., where services will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Kekaha Public Cemetery.
The family suggests casual attire.

Masanori Emoto
Masanori Emoto, 98, of Hanapepe, passed away on Nov. 8, 2018, in Waimea.
Born on Aug. 29, 1920, in Kekaha, he was a retired shop superintendent with Kekaha Sugar Company.
He was preceded in death by parents Matahei and Etsu Emoto, wife Shizuko Emoto, sister Tokie Miyake and brother Mike Emoto.
He is survived by son Jeffrey (Gail) Emoto of Hanapepe, daughter Donna (James) Fuji of Eleele, grandchildren Ashley (Kevin) Newton, Joel Fuji, Jacie Emoto, Lyndi (Damon) Chong and Thad (Desiree) Fuji, great-grandchildren Hope Newton, Lucy Newton, Noah Chong, Willow Chong, Keola Ching Teyah Fuji and Tavena Fuji, sister Yukiko Van Landingham of Florida, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, Nov. 18, at the Garden Island Mortuary chapel in Lawai from 2 p.m., with services at 3 p.m.
The family suggests casual attire.

Elizabeth ‘Nani’ Manualani Harada
Elizabeth “Nani” Manualani Harada, 75, of Wainiha, passed away on Nov. 11, 2018, at her home.
Born on Nov. 20, 1942 in Kilauea, she was a retired accountant with the Princeville Corporation.
She was preceded in death by parents Demiliciano and Irene Inanod, borthers Sylvester Inanod, George Inanod and Steven Inanod Sr., and sisters Kathleen “Bones” Inanod and Leonora Kelekoma.
She is survived by husband Alfred “Yoshi” H.K. Harada, son Alfred H. Harada, grandchildren Shana-Lee Boro-Harada and Sierra-Lynn Boro-Harada, great-grandson Gustaro Kalani Orozco-Harada, siblings Val (Sandy) Inanod, Dolores “Dolly” Watanabe, Julio (Cecilia) Inanod and Wayne “Winky” (Sharon) Inanod, and numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Presentacion Deleon Fermin, 81, of Eleele, passed away on Nov. 8, 2018, at Wilcox Medical Center.
Born on Jan. 11, 1937, in Maananteng, Solsona, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was a retired hotel inspectress and teacher of English as a second language.
She was preceded in death by daughter Grace Fermin Dixon, parents Angel Deleon and Adela Pascual, and sister Purification Domingo.
She is survived by husband Ricardo Sales Fermin of Eleele, son Randall (Chrystal) Lee Deleon Fermin of Oahu, daughter Aileen Deleon Fermin of Eleele, grandchildren Timothy Dixon, Jessica Dixon, Madison Fermin, Makanalani Fermin and Mallory Fermin, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 17, at Garden Island Mortuary chapel in Lawai from 3 p.m., with services at 3:30 p.m.
The family suggests casual attire and requests that flowers be omitted.
