Yes, 3,911, 16.2 percent; No, 17,950, 74.1 percent

State of Hawaii Constitutional Convention question: Shall there be a convention to propose a revision of or amendments to the constitution?

Yes, 4,895, 20.2 percent; No, 16,496, 68.1 percent.

Relating to the public defender: Shall the charter be amended by repealing Article IX, Public Defender, as this function is already provided by the state?

Yes, 9,418, 38.9 percent; No, 13,968, 57.7 percent.

Relating to an electric power authority: Shall the charter be amended by repealing Article XXX, which empowers the council to create an electric power authority by ordinance?

Yes, 8,068, 33.3 percent; No, 10,920, 45.1 percent.

Relating to the Kauai Zoning Board of Appeals: Shall Article XIV, Planning Department, Sections 14.01 14.03, 14.12, 14.13 and 14.14, be amended by removing all references to the zoning board of appeals?

Yes, 6,061, 25 percent; No, 11,526, 47.6 percent.

Relating to the Public Access, Open Space, Natural Resources Preservation Fund: Shall Article XIX, Financial Procedures, Section 19.5(c) be amended to permit the Public Access, Open Space, Natural Resources Preservation Fund to include improvements?

Yes, 13,455, 55.6 percent; No, 6,431, 26.6 percent.

Relating to the Salary Commission: Shall Article XXIX, Salary Commission, Sections 29.01 and 29.03 be amended to give the salary commission authority to establish the maximum salaries of all elected and appointed officials, and to add the director of human resources and the director of finance as ex-officio non-voting members of the commission?

Yes, 8,487, 35.1 percent; No, 11,196, 46.2 percent.

    I would like to know what candidates or public officials are proposing this agendas every 2-4 years when the general public/communities have said YES to term limits every single time the questions is posed. Same question and same answer why can’t you all understand?
