WAIMEA — A donation at the Kauai Veterans Memorial Auxiliary’s Holiday Craft Fair could be worth a portion of more than $5,500 in prizes available Saturday.
WAIMEA — A donation at the Kauai Veterans Memorial Auxiliary’s Holiday Craft Fair could be worth a portion of more than $5,500 in prizes available Saturday.
Among the top prizes is an anonymous contribution of a “Lei Po‘o” and “Lei Hulu” artworks, both framed in koa. Those two pieces are valued at $1,000 apiece and will go home with a lucky contributor. Other prizes include a handmade Hawaiian quilt by Basilio “Bunga” Fuertes, a hand-sewn Christmas quilt, rounds of golf, resort stays and more.
The craft fair runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. with vendors set up inside KVMH and overflowing onto the lawn area. Craft items, baked goods and potted orchids are available for early holiday shopping.
